After every trip my grandmother took, she would develop her pictures as soon as she got home so she could get to work on her picturebook. The photographs in those picturebooks document every step of her journeys. Even now, when she pulls out those thick, dusty albums, it is as if she is transported back a time and place forever captured in the photographs there.
As we take this journey together, my hope is these photographs here, in some small way, might transport you to a time and place we share together, even if from a distance.
